Representer - A PlayCoop Incubator Project
A multidisciplinary work devised through a series of workshops through Phoenix Theatre Ensemble’s PlayCoop incubator program.
This devised work explores economic, class, and cultural barriers to representation in commerce and the arts using as a springboard the 17th century play, The Knight of the Burning Pestle Leo Lion, Associate Artistic Director of Phoenix Theatre Ensemble (who has incubated such works using the PlayCoop process as the Dracula Files, Metamorphosis, Wind in the WIllows and Scandalton) brings this new work to the Phoenix Festival.
The PlayCoop Incubation workshops are presented to small invited audiences. These project is designed to allow for audience dialogue and feedback in the creation of this work.
